our mission

The why behind Project Basecamp

Our primary goal is to equip our members with the tools necessary for long-term success while fostering the development of essential life skills. We recognize that the journey to recovery often involves achieving small, attainable goals that ultimately lead to larger, sustainable accomplishments. Individuals grappling with a history of substance use disorder frequently encounter challenges envisioning personal goals, often due to the prioritization of drug use over personal development. Our structured program provides the support needed for individuals to work towards fundamental goals and create a fulfilling life.

We believe in addressing addiction holistically, promoting growth and sustainable change in every aspect of our members' lives. If you or a loved one is seeking sobriety, we invite you to join our community and take the first step toward lasting recovery.

Summit Support: Upholding Accountability

Integrity is a cornerstone of the recovery process, and here at Project Basecamp, we believe in the strength of community to cultivate it. Through shared experiences and common goals, our members build camaraderie and hold each other accountable.

We believe that responsibility is the solid foundation most individuals need to build lasting habits change in their lives. Our housing environments encourage transparency in all participants as they transition onto a new path.

Additionally, our staff enforce accountability measures such as house rule compliance, random drug and alcohol screenings, and mandatory weekly meetings to ensure progress and adherence to the program.

Peak Proficiency: Guiding Life Skill Advancement

Development of life skills is essential for individuals to rebuild their lives and navigate the challenges of recovery successfully. By understanding finances, securing employment, and maintaining a strong work ethic, participants can build confidence and resilience. In partnership with third party resources, our Project Basecamp team aims to assist our participants in meeting these key objectives:
  • Assisting with resume building, job applications, and providing support in securing employment opportunities
  • Supporting individuals in pursuing their GED or higher level of education
  • Helping participants obtain essential documents and services, such as a driver's license, auto insurance, cellphone, and health insurance
  • Facilitating the establishment of primary care providers, psychiatric and/or counseling services, and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs
  • Offering courses on finance and credit building to promote financial literacy and stability
  • Providing access to community resources and assisting in finding mentors or sponsors

2.

Pathway Planning: Establishing Daily Routine

Establishing a daily routine is essential for maintaining stability and progress in recovery. In our program, we actively encourage members to integrate various activities into their daily routines, such as rising early, attending to chores, shopping for groceries, preparing meals, and prioritizing self-care practices like exercise. Additionally, we organize group activities, sports leagues, and holiday celebrations to foster strong support networks and promote a substance-free lifestyle.

At Project Basecamp, we provide a nurturing environment where members can learn, grow, and thrive as they work towards a brighter future. We are dedicated to supporting each individual on their journey to recovery and beyond!

A mission Beyond New Mexico

At Project Basecamp, our story is deeply rooted in the recognition of the widespread impact of addiction. Addiction doesn't discriminate; it affects individuals and families across all walks of life. This realization sparked the creation of Project Basecamp, not just as a transitional housing initiative but as a community committed to igniting change.

We serve those who are ready to take charge of their lives, providing them with a supportive environment and the tools they need to rebuild. Our mission extends beyond New Mexico; it's a response to a crisis gripping communities nationwide.
